Health and safety measures have been implemented to keep T Bus riders safe in the confined space of a bus.
Problem:
- How to adjust occupancy from completely full buses to social distancing?
- How to provide more buses on routes to make up for lesser capacity on each bus?
We got creative and reconfigured the T Bus, looked at ridership on each route, what other options those students have, and made tough decisions.
Here are the guiding procedures:
OLD Route | NEW Route | |
Neyland Express, Ag Express, and the Hill | One route through campus from Ag to the Hill
Neyland Express | A direct bus from Sorority Village to Gate 21 at Neyland Stadium. The residents can only park in Sorority Village and MUST have transportation to campus.
Access and Link | NO Change to these services and remember both serve the Fort Sanders neighborhood for those with disabilities.
Late Nite | NO Changes – this also serves the Fort Sanders neighborhood at night.
The Fort | NO SERVICE | Unable to offer this route Fall 2020 due to COVID19 route restructuring |
JIAM | NO SERVICE | Unable to offer this route Fall 2020 due to COVID19 route restructuring |
ORNL/PSCC | NO SERVICE | ORNL is not having Research Interns and PSCC is primarily online so the service is suspended for Fall 2020 |
