Fall and Spring service – The T runs comprehensive service throughout the UT campus and portions of the Fort Sanders neighborhood with five fixed routes and two on-demand routes. In addition, we operate four shuttle routes to off-campus locations; ORNL/NTRC/PSCC, UT Research Park, Cherokee Mills, and Off-Campus for specific UT Housing locations.

Summer service – The T runs a limited service UT campus during the summer with one fixed route and two on-demand routes.

Service is fare-free for all passengers.

Accessible/Disability Options

T: Link

The T: Link operates nightly between 6:00 pm and 7:00 am.
No disability ID is required.
Wait times depend on call volume.

The T: Link transports students at night to their destination.

  • Request pickup through the UT mobile app’s transit icon or the TransLoc app. The blue circle will pop up to request On-Demand after 6:00 pm.
  • Call from any campus Blue Phone
  • Call the Link directly at 865-974-4080

The T: Link service area includes UT’s Main campus, Ag campus, and the Fort Sanders neighborhood to Grand Avenue (excluding the Cumberland Avenue Strip).

T: Access

The T: Access is a demand response service available to students with an Access ID card issued by the UT Student Disability Services (SDS).

Faculty or staff need to visit the Office of Equity and Diversity to get their Access ID card.

The T: Access operates on-demand, point-to-point service on UT’s main campus, Ag Campus, or UT facilities in the Fort Sanders neighborhood, weekdays from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm

After 6:00 pm, persons with disabilities may use the T: Link service.

Specialized Service

UT/PSCC/NTRC/ORNL Shuttle

Connecting UT staff, students, and faculty to the ORNL campus at Oak Ridge, the  NTRC facility in Hardin Valley, and the PSCC campus in Hardin Valley.

UT Research Park Shuttle

Connecting UT staff, students, and faculty to the IAMM research facilities at  Cherokee Farms and the JARTU facility adjacent to UT Medical Center.

UT Housing Off-Campus Shuttle

Shuttle service for UT Housing students at Lakemoor Station 7 days a week. In addition, the UT Housing students at Quarry Trail are provided this service on the weekends.

Cherokee Mills Shuttle

Connecting campus to the UT staff, students, and faculty at the Cherokee Mills Bldg and Kingston Pike to the center of the main campus.

The route includes Cherokee Mills, Kingston Pike bldg, University Commons Economy Commuter parking area, and the stop on campus is at the Thornton Center.
